Need Project

"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat"

Our aim

We through God’s grace and provision commit ourselves to be Christ to all who receive from us, all who listen to us and all who see us, so that the love of Jesus is received and not just heard. Through Jesus we can do all things.

Our vision

The Need Project exists to provide a Christian response to various situations of need. Currently these include the provision of food parcels, clothing, equipment and furniture. The Need Project is an intermediary between statutory organisations (e.g Social workers, Health Visitors) and the point of need.

Our links with many other churches, schools, organisations and individuals give us resources and support to meet needs as they present themselves.

Our purpose

We do not discriminate in deciding who should receive our help. We would like to emphasise that the purpose of our ministry is to help the community in a practical way, and our faith is our motivation for this.

We think that while a lot of people have heard of the love of Jesus, not many have experienced it, and as a church we feel that meeting people’s needs in a practical manner is an important way of achieving this.
